Telex

The Wirefast message gateway allows you to:

• Send telex direct from email or applications
• Receive telex transmissions pre-formatted and via email
• Decommission all legacy telex infrastructure
• Receive inbound telexes routed to users or group mailboxes by keyword

As with all Wirefast services, messages are sent and delivered with 24x7 message monitoring, delivery notification & seven year secure archive.

Many of our customers still rely on telex communications, but no longer have the skills or budget to support this technology in house. Using the Wirefast gateway, support for this legacy technology can be retained, without the need to retain skills or infrastructure in house.

Affected by the closure of the BT Telex Exchange?

If you have been contacted by BT regarding their telex exchange closing in 2008 and wish to continue to use telex, Wirefast is willing and able to offer the service.

BT have arranged with Swisstelex that you can continue to use the telex service with your existing telex number and answerback.

Wirefast are able to interwork with Swisstelex as a Swisstelex IP-Telex approved supplier to provide this as part of our service to you.

What to do next?

1. Send an e-mail to sales@wirefast.com and inform us that you would like to use our service. (Please indicate to us if you wish to retain your existing BT number)
2. If you do wish to retain your existing BT number, please also contact BT and Swisstelex to confirm this and begin the transfer process.

Wirefast will liaise with Swisstelex to ensure a smooth transfer.
